Can you service my car in the works car park while I am on shift?
That is one of the most common ways we work in Derby. As long as there is a parking space we can get around and the site is happy for us to be there, the vehicle can be serviced while you are inside. It is worth checking with whoever runs the car park first, because some sites want to know in advance.
Which parts of Derby do you cover?
All of it. Inside the ring road and out through Allestree, Mickleover, Littleover, Chaddesden, Spondon, Alvaston, Oakwood, Sinfin and Darley Abbey, plus Borrowash, Duffield and Breadsall on the edges. There is no separate charge depending on which side of the city you are on.
Why does my diesel keep warning me about the particulate filter when I only drive in town?
Because short city journeys never let the engine and exhaust get hot enough to clear the filter properly. Two miles to work and two miles back, day after day, lets soot build up faster than it can be burned off. We can read the fault codes and the filter values at your address and tell you whether it needs a forced regeneration, a cleaning treatment or an underlying fault fixing first.
Can you look after several company vehicles at one site?
Yes. Working through a few vans or company cars in one visit is more efficient than sending them off one at a time, and it keeps each vehicle off the road for the shortest possible period. Trackers, camera systems and dashcams can be fitted across a group of vehicles in the same way.
Can a full service be done on the drive, or does it need a ramp?
Interim, full and major services are all done on site. The van carries the oils, filters and tools for it. If something more serious turns up that really does need a ramp, such as heavy suspension or exhaust work, we will tell you straight away and it can be booked in with us instead.
What information do you need when I get in touch?
Make, model and year, the registration if you have it, what the vehicle is doing in terms of noises, warning lights and whether it turns over, and the postcode where it is parked. If it is at work rather than at home, tell us that too so we know what access to expect.
