Vehicle Servicing Derbyshire
Mobile car and van servicing across Derbyshire — from Buxton and the High Peak towns to Ashbourne, the Dales and Derby. Interim, full and major services, brakes, cambelts and diagnostics done on your drive, at work or on the yard, with bigger jobs booked in with us.
Servicing That Comes To You, Across The County
Derbyshire asks a lot of a vehicle, and it asks different things in different places. Up in the High Peak, cars around Buxton, Dove Holes and Chapel-en-le-Frith spend the winter on salted, steep roads at altitude — the A6 over to Stockport, the A53 to Leek and the A537 Cat and Fiddle over to Macclesfield. Down in the south of the county, Derby is all stop-start city driving and ring-road traffic, while Ashbourne and the Dales villages run more 4x4s, estates and towing vehicles than almost anywhere else we cover.
A service that suits one of those won’t suit them all, which is why we work to your vehicle and how you actually use it rather than a one-size checklist. We bring the oils, filters and consumables in the van, carry out the service where the vehicle is parked and give you a straight account of anything we find.
Interim, full and major services
An interim service suits higher-mileage drivers between annual services; a full service is the yearly check most cars need; a major service adds the longer-interval items such as spark plugs, fuel filters and fluids. If you are not sure which your car is due, our guide to the difference between interim, full and major services explains it, or just ask when you call.
Repairs found during the service
Brakes and clutches, timing belts, batteries and electrics, and MOT preparation are all part of what we do. Where a job genuinely needs lifting gear, we tell you at the time and it can be booked in with us instead — never started on the drive and left half-done. Electrical faults are handled by our mobile auto electrician service.
High Peak winters
Salt, cold starts and long descents are hard on brake fluid, brake pipes, batteries and underbody components. Before winter we pay particular attention to brake fluid condition, battery health and corrosion underneath — the things most likely to leave you stuck on a hill road in February.
Company, lease and fleet vehicles
Around Derby especially, a lot of the cars we see are company and lease vehicles that need servicing to schedule with a proper written record. Vans and small fleets can be serviced on the yard before or after the working day so they are not stood idle.

The Kind Of Work We Do

Questions We Get Asked
Which parts of Derbyshire do you cover?
The High Peak towns of Buxton, Chapel-en-le-Frith, Whaley Bridge, New Mills and Dove Holes, plus Ashbourne and the surrounding Dales villages, and Derby. See our areas we cover page for the full list across Derbyshire, Staffordshire and Cheshire.
Can a full service really be done on my drive?
Yes. Interim, full and major services are carried out where the vehicle is parked, and the van carries the oils, filters and consumables for them. If something genuinely needs lifting equipment we will say so at the time and it can be booked in with us.
Will a mobile service affect my warranty?
Servicing to the manufacturer’s schedule with the right parts and fluids, and keeping a proper record, is what matters. Our article on mobile mechanics and car warranties explains it in more detail.
Do you service vans and 4x4s?
Yes. Trade vans, small fleets, pickups, 4x4s and towing vehicles are a big part of our Derbyshire work, particularly around Ashbourne and the High Peak.
What days do you work?
Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm. Emergency call-outs are available when we can fit them in — call 07803 397561 and we will tell you straight away whether we can reach you.
What should I tell you when I book?
Make, model, year and registration, your postcode, the mileage and anything the vehicle is doing that it shouldn’t. That way we arrive with the right parts on board.
